501's Father Figure

If you asked us what we thought about the average rap song. We'd tell you the bar has been lowered. It is not a rare moment to find a man / woman with a great rap track, but a whole album? You bet. Real artistry is about telling a story as entertaining as possible. With that being said, plenty people can tell a solid story for 2 1/2 - 3 minutes, but a stand out artist like the one we are about to tell you about can go the whole 13 tracks. Rexx Life Raj Rexx has freestyled impressively over throwback B.I.G. beats to westcoast production as well. All his previous work has brought us to his project just released, "Father Figure". Father figure is a hymn filled, heavy hitting, rap masterpiece. It begins with a congratulations type feel quite like Drake began If Your Reading This with "Legend". Rexx happens to stand alone when it comes to his particular delivery because he really sounds like he is beating up and cradling the beat perfectly when he does. The time he took on this project is obviously understood by the end of the first song. He kept my attention like a m*****ker for the next tracks, but I wanna skip to this next song. Shit N' Floss (track 5) This track broke my jaw & neck & repaired it at once. The hook rides like a wiz smoking vibe but his content is much deeper. (love to wiz doe) Not to late in the second verse he goes, "the fuck is a silver spoon? N** I really lived in the livin' room". His hard days are hopefully over because the man clearly deserves brighter days. Be sure to share his music and follow him. Handheld GPS (track 7) This is the track that actually grabbed our attention. (@tviibes on twitter) This is so damn smooth he is practically singing but involving the hottest and smoothest bars. Each bar fits perfectly with the beat. "I've been, minding my business I've been, building my business" Wether you are an artist or a fan you can benefit from this man's music and should show love because of it. Our next two favorites are "Double Back", and "Moxie Java" . Rexx Life Raj is worth your time. Thanks for keeping up with the Culture Spoon.
